The tents are spacious, sturdy and comfortable. Built on a
solid base; with a thatched roof, screened windows and en
suite stone-walled bathroom, our tents provide all the space
and comforts you need. In front of each tent is a small
veranda where you can sit, relax, admire the view, and watch
the wildlife. The large canvas doors unzip to reveal the
bedroom, where you find two comfortable single beds and a
writing table and chair.
Three sides of the thick canvas walls can be rolled up to
expose netted windows. These allow you to enjoy the cool
breeze and experience the bush all around you, without being
exposed to the elements or bothered by the insects.
Bungalows
Our bungalows are built from local stone in the circular style
of Maasai huts. Their thick walls, large windows and thatched
roof ensure that they remain cool even in the heat of the day.
The rooms are tastefully furnished and spacious, light and
airy. Electric lights and sockets are powered by our camp
generator.
In front of the bungalow is a smaller thatched hut with
folding safari chairs and a table, which serves as your
veranda. It offers a great view down into the valley and makes
the perfect spot to unwind after a day's game viewing, and sip
a sun-downer while you enjoy the view.
Tarangire Treetops
Treetop offers unique luxury accommodations amongst the giant
baobab trees for which Tarangire National Park is famous for.
The majority of the lodge is built on platforms on stilts that
cleverly blend into the surrounding trees.
The lodge consists of about 20 tree houses with ensuite
bathrooms. The small size of the lodge combined with its
unique design provides for a very intimate and personal
experience. The rooms are well decorated with wooden
furnishings and the beds are cozy. There is a small sitting
area consisting of wicker chairs from which one can admire the
view. The highlight of the lodge is the amazing panoramic view
offered from each tree house. It is not unusual to see
elephants from the comfort of your tree house.
Olivers Camp
Oliver's Camp is situated in Tarangire's unspoilt wilderness
area. This camp is ideally placed to access the yearly
migrations of wildlife throughout the ecosystem, and to view
the impressive concentrations at waterholes for a five to six
month season each year.
Only five sleeping tents. These comprise two twin bedded
tents, one three bedded tent and two containing a large double
bed plus an additional single bed (the remotest of these
larger tents is perfect for honeymooners).
