Accommodation in Northern Serengeti 

KLEINS CAMP

Kleins Camp sits on the edge of the Kuka Hills in the northern Serengeti just outside the official eastern boundary of the park. The lodge resides in a private sanctuary overlooking wooded hillsides and rolling grasslands.Kleins Camp has 10 intimate and well-appointed cottages. 

Most of the cottages are spaced around 50 feet from each other and are built along a ridge leading away from the reception area. All 10 cottages are furnished with 1 double bed, which can be converted to 2 twin beds upon request. The beds are draped in beautiful soft white curtains. 


Room furnishings include a sitting area with a cozy love seat and a decanter of port. There is also a small easel with paper, brushes, watercolor paint and canyons beckoning you to recreate the beautiful valley just outside your front door. There are power outlets in each room and 24-hour electricity is. Each cottage has en suite bathrooms built out of local stone.

There is a small patio outside of each cottage that looks down to the valley below. The views from each patio are certainly spectacular and you can usually spot giraffe, impala, topi and baboons.

The main guest area at Kleins Camp is comfortable and luxurious, and the highlight is the open sided lounge constructed around an open fire pit.
There is a very nice swimming pool built on a raised stone slab deck. The pool is pleasantly secluded as it is set behind the camp and above the cottages. There is also a quaint gift shop near the Camp's lounge.

MIGRATION CAMP
Migration Camp consists of 20 luxury suites under canvas on elevated wooden platforms. There are 12 doubles (1 queen size bed), 7 twins (2 twin beds) and 1 honeymoon suite. The tents are pleasantly spaced along the Grumeti River assuring relative privacy.

The tents are massive and each tent is well appointed with beautiful hardwood floors and rich furnishings including a writing desk, leather love seat and power outlets. There is a small balcony at the back of each tent with two cozy rocking chairs though the views are uninspiring. Each tent is equipped with en suite bathrooms with running water. The water is solar heated but there is a backup system that can be engaged to assure that there is always plenty of hot water.

The Migration camp honeymoon suite is truly magnificent. It is set further back from the river and partially up a hill allowing for beautiful views. The floor plan of the tent is very similar but the notable differences are the large private deck and private Jacuzzi tucked against the hill under the stars.

The main lodge is set on a hilltop and includes the lounge, bar, library, swimming pool, fire pit and dinning tent. All of these areas have glorious views out over the woodlands. 

LOBO WILDLIFE LODGE
Lobo Wildlife Lodge consists of 75 rooms. There are doubles, twins and triples available plus one presidential suite.

The rooms at Lobo Wildlife Lodge are built at the base of the kopje in two 'motel style' wings with each wing diverging from the main reception and dinning area. Each wing is 3-stories high and your room is accessed via an internal motel style hallway. The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable. The rooms are small and furnished with just a nightstand, chair and bed.

Accommodation in Western Serengeti

GRUMETI RIVER CAMP
Grumeti River Camp consist of a main lodge area set on the banks of a small hippo pool and 10 sleeping tents generously spaced throughout the property to ensure privacy. All tents are furnished with 1 double bed.

Each tent is built on a raised stone platform and encased under a wooden thatched roof. There is a small private deck in front of each tent with safari chairs and lounge chairs. The interiors are quite eclectic and feature vibrant African fabrics. 

The main guest areas consist of lounge, domed bar, game-viewing deck and inside and outside dinning areas.

KIRAWIRA CAMP
Kirawira Camp consists of 25 luxury tents perched on a hill just south of the Grumeti River. There are 20 twins (2 twin beds) and 5 doubles (1 king size bed) tents. The tents are spaced roughly 50 feet apart along bricked pathways. 

The tents are elevated above the ground being constructed on wooden stilts. Each tent is accessed via a short set of stairs, which leads to a beautiful private veranda. The verandas are well appointed with safari chairs and offer breathtaking views of the open woodlands below. Each tent is tastefully decorated with hardwood furnishing in grand safari fashion. The décor is a clever blend of classic opulence and camp practicality featuring generous four-poster beds, hand-made patchwork quilts, steamer-trunk wardrobes and brass lamps. To the rear of each tent is an elegant mahogany-paneled bathroom and separate tiled compartment containing the toilet. There are electrical outlets to charge your batteries. Kirawira Camp runs the generator 24-hours a day.

Accommodation in Central Serengeti

SERENGETI SERENA LODGE
Accommodations consist of 66 stone built, traditionally thatched round huts. Each hut is two levels and contains three rooms. Out of the 66 total rooms, there are 20 triples, 23 doubles (1 king size bed), 20 twins (2 twin beds), 2 handicap rooms and 1 suite.

Each hut is accessed via a short wooden staircase or bridge. The rooms are relatively simple but comfortable and clean. Furniture and fixtures include wooden carved headboards and nightstands and a small writing desk. Just off from the bedroom is a small private balcony and safari chairs. There are power outlets in each room and 24-hour electricity. There is also a telephone in each room that you can use to arrange for wake up calls for those early morning game drives. Each ensuite bathroom includes a shower with tub, washbasin and hairdryer.

The massive dinning room is well decorated with various artifacts, sculptures and wooden carvings. Equally impressive is the lounge and bar area. There is a very good gift shop on the premises and a large swimming pool.

SERENGETI SOPA LODGE

Serengeti Sopa Lodge consists of 79 comfortable and spacious rooms. The rooms are in two-story stone blocks. All rooms have good views of the below savannah. Furniture and fixtures are simple and modest. Each room features brass lamps, two comfortable queen sized beds and a wooden writing desk. There is even a separate sitting room off from the bedroom. The ensuite bathrooms are spacious and include a shower with tub, washbasin and hairdryer.

The Serengeti Sopa Lodge is the only lodge in the Serengeti offering quad rooms suitable for a family. 

There is also a particularly good gift shop located on the premises which stocks gift items as well as other items including film and toiletries.

At the back of the hotel just outside the main lobby is the large pool, which overlooks the semi-wooded landscape.

SERONERA WILDLIFE LODGE
Accommodations consist of 75 rooms with doubles and twins available. The rooms at Seronera Wildlife Lodge are constructed in three 'motel style' wings with each wing diverging from the main reception and dinning area. Each wing is 2-stories high and your room is accessed via an internal 'motel style' hallway. t rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable. The rooms are small and furnished with just a nightstand, chair and bed. 

The lobby and reception area at Seronera Wildlife Lodge is on the ground floor and at the bottom of the kopje. Ascending a maze of stairs from the lobby takes you to the lounge, bar and dinning areas. These are massive and cavernous areas but pleasantly designed around the massive kopje.

Accommodation in Eastern Serengeti

NASERA ROCK CAMPSITE
At Nasera Rock Campsite, a camp is always set up prior to your arrival and broken down after your departure. Your personal cook and camp assistant transport your private camp in a separate assistant vehicle to your chosen campsite. The equipment never travels in your own private vehicle assuring the greatest comfort and optimizing your game viewing time.

Large domed tents are utilized and each comes equipped with two raised stretcher beds. The beds have foam mattresses and plenty of sheets and blankets. The beds are extremely cozy. The bathroom consists of an erected vertical tent around a wooden block and plastic toilet seat (long drop toilet). Shower will be filled with warm water daily on your request. Safari chairs and a table are provided so you may enjoy a campfire or a warm meal under the African sky. A personal cook will accompany you on all camping excursions and will provide you with three tasty meals a day.

Accommodation in Southern Serengeti

KUSINI CAMP TENTED LODGE

The lodge consists of just nine permanent luxury tents with en-suite bathrooms and showers. Each tent is spaced throughout the acacia trees at the bottom of a beautiful granite kopje to ensure complete privacy. The tents are elevated on a wooden foundation and each is tastefully decorated with hardwood furnishing in grand safari fashion.

The main lodge structure is set upon a kopje above the tents. This area includes the dinning tent, campfire, bar and main viewing deck. There is a very nice gift shop in a separate tent which includes among other things a very nice selection of Tanzanites.

OLDUVAI CAMP TENTED LODGE

Olduvai Camp consists of 16 permanent tents situated at the base of a large kopje (granite boulder hill). The tents are spaced apart around the circumference of the kopje assuring solitude and privacy. The rear of each tent is positioned against the kopje while the front faces the open plains providing superb views. The completely sealable tents rest on wooden floors and are under thatched roofs. The tents are spacious and you can choose from either one king size bed or two twin beds. The en-suite bathroom facilities are simple and consist of a chemical toilet and a bladder shower. In front of each tent is your own private wooden veranda complete with two deck chairs and a small table.

The main facilities consist of a circular dinning room and a separate lounge/library structure, which is elevated above the dinning room. 

NDUTU LODGE

Ndutu Lodge consists of 32 bungalows extending on either side from a central, open sided bar and restaurant area. Each unit has its own semi-private veranda which looks towards the lake though the views are somewhat obstructed by the acacia tree woodland. The stone cottages are large, well furnished and come with either two twin beds one queen size bed. The wooden furnishings consist of a night stand and small writing desk and chairs. The bathrooms are ensuite with hot water showers.

Ndutu Lodge facilities consist of a superb open air bar and restaurant area which look out over the lake. There is a particularly good gift shop on the premises.
